God's Promise

Whenever we see a rainbow
This thought should come to mind…
God always keeps His promises
And the rainbow’s been assigned

To paint our lives with beauty…
To be sure our hopes will rise…
To remind us that after the rain
There’s a promise of clear skies

Whenever the night’s the darkest
And the morning seems so far…
Then God would recommend that we
Just gaze upon a star.

We must let that star remind us
Of the One who placed it there…
To shed some light within our hearts
When the darkness holds despair.

There comes a time in every life
When sorrow seems to win…
When every step toward faith just seems
Too burdensome to begin.

But we must hold fast to God’s promise
Search for a rainbow or a star…
They’ll reflect the face of Jesus
Because He's been where we are.

  ~~Dedicated to Sandy~

Revelation 22:16-
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you
these things in the churches. I am the root and
the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning
star.

Revelation 4:3 –
And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper
and a sardine stone: and [there was] a rainbow
round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

Genesis 9:13 –
I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token
of a covenant between me and the earth.
