 Penniluck's legacy

Marie Curie Nurse

I dedicate this to the Marie Curie nurses who do such a wonderful job. Ladies with the lamp God Bless you all.

In the early hours while all still sleep
I hear Marie in the kitchen creep
Hardly a sound as she tip toes by,
Listening for that gentle sigh, or cry,
Which tells her that he needs her aid,
While she tells him not to be afraid,
Gentle angel in the night, silent, still,
Until daylight once more arrives and she can say,
He lives and breathes another day.
Dawn is here the dark passed by,
Watched together, Marie and I.
