Poetic-Verses
A lifetime of years.
Honey tell me these things are they true
will you still love me the way I love you,
will you hold me close when I'm old and grey
will you kiss me goodnight at the end of each day.
Will you take my hand should I stumble and fall
will you still be there if I should call,
will the lines on my face to you disappear
will I stay the same in your eyes my dear.
I looked at my darling and then I replied
you know that I'll love you till the day I die,
in the mornings I'll kiss you not only at night
if you stumble in darkness I'll be your light.
And if you should call I'll hear your plea
and right by your side is where I will be,
in my eyes is the woman I met that first day
a lifetime of years will never take that away.
will you still love me the way I love you,
will you hold me close when I'm old and grey
will you kiss me goodnight at the end of each day.
