Lay me neath that old pine tree
where the water is running free
in coolness when my days are done
as I go to meet my creator's son
no more in darkness shall I be
all my earthly sorrows set free
in peace shining forever bright
where souls rejoice in eternal light
Still waters adrift in my mind
hold memories of a happier time
land of ancestors taken from me
antelopes roam no longer free
home of the brave above the sea
is where my heart longs to be
