Becoming one with Him who slays
The old that kept you much astray
Becomes His task if you'd let go
Of all that weighs a heart that moans
Be one with Him who came and saved
Your days before you were enslaved
Close your eyes and see the change
That GOD will birth as He's arranged
The task at hand is not in yours
But in the hands that have endured
The nails that pierced both hands and feet
The Hope to things yet to complete
Hold not the past that led you to
The things that tore your heart in two
Keep your eyes on Him the prize
The Truth cuts out what in you lies
Hold dear friend and know The Well
That quenches needs and too dry spells
The one who bled and also fed
Five thousand weak that walked misled
Today He calls you out again
Today if will all yours would bend
Sincere of heart asking of Him
To take control, allow Him in
With you in mind, He came to be
Answer to, what needs be freed
You
You
