Homeless?

homeless photo: Homeless Homeless.png

He was homeless
He would do anything he could to help others
He would give the tattered shirt off his back
One day he got a chance to be taken in
Yes, someone took him into their home
He would do all he could
To help pay for his stay
Although he had no money
He had more than money can buy
He had had an inner strength
A will
A willingness
To do whatever he could
To help those who took him in
In him there is a fight
To keep what he has been given
His attitude is of gratefulness and thankfulness
He never utters a word of discontent
He constantly tries to pay for his stay
In all he does to help
He has learned to survive
This is why he is still alive
He is still homeless
Yet, he is living in a home
He does not know what tomorrow will bring
In the meantime
He is looking for work
He does not know the outcome
He goes from day to day
For he knows today
He is still homeless
