They still become of us sometimes
Thoughts that keep, these tests of time
They rule in soul that bled but true
Sustaining life from past withdrew
A smile of old that poured sunshine
Embrace still felt a state of mind
Here where good became of you
As too goodbye bitter that slew
My being has walked back roads
As stories came and come untold
Of her, of us savored this day
A taste of life within that stays
Drink of her, of wine and roses
Reminisce of too supposes
Held what filled vast emptiness
Sipped slowly once happiness
Short term they are but still return
These memories alive that yearn
To be again, to be what holds
An aging heart, breaths countless stole
