Judging the Wounded By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Upon your trek, outside again
A face unknown, maybe a friend
Seeks a word to carry them
Just pass this day if time you'd lend
A mere hello or wave of hand
A state of mind, your fellow man
Seeks a breath of air yours fresh
A moment brief for one thought less
We walk about oblivious
To those in need that live hard pressed
A chance to lift someone whose loss
Became of them, of much remorse
Too quick to judge from distance ours
Yet close we are, their need the hour
Slips again right past our eyes
Another life before us dies
Judge ye not Les you be judged
As time will come before your judge
That saw how much of you. You gave
To one in need by time enslaved
Give some thought if just today
To someone else with needs quite grave
A word spoken may help just make
Reasons to now live not take
Judging the Wounded
