park


I came upon that park by chance
and gazed on lush and verdant scene
stood as one caught in a trance
the senses of sight and sound so keen
the breeze and light played a game
while love rustled in the air
nothing there remained the same
this place had not a care
some trees like skeletons they stood
with bald branches to the sky
of living wood waves as past by
from the grassy ground there rose
of ancient stone
