Most Precious Love!

My mother is a precious soul
That lights my path each day
She lifts my spirit up with prayer
And talk of God’s fine ways
Her footprints are still shadowed by,
Sweet Jesus Christ our Lord!
She stumbled and he picked her up
To walk of his accord
So now she smiles through each day
And genuinely knows
Her life is mastered by none other
Than a God whose love does show
He keeps her safe in his keeping
And she thanks him with her heart
She shines with love, thorns and all
And a spray of subtle tart
Like a gentle touch of a silky rose
Its edges creased and worn
But with a heart so genuine
She trusts like a baby born
Today she breathes love for him
For she never walks alone
He soothes her soul with his love
The most precious love she’s known!
