Eyes Wide Open
With my eyes wide open,
I'm dreaming again.
Twilight in the air.
I feel surreal as it begins.
The sparkling stars.
That grace the new night air.
Birds settle in,
With a last song they share.
The big old moon,
Kindly lending its light.
In this perfect setting.
Everything seems just right.
The crickets song,
Compose a sweet sound.
A melody so grand.
Harmony perfect all around.
All the Trees dancing,
Waltzing in the wind
The stream wrestles,
Gently with its bed.
With eyes wide open,
A dream inside my head.
