Walking the Streets of Freedom
Walking the Streets of Freedom August 2, 2013
The H Block ten and the fourteen men who died on the streets of Derry
The Loughall eight and an Irish child, his name was Kevin Barry
We have many heroes in Ireland, remember the Gibraltar three
Many more have died in our country wanting to be free
We faced the famine and the crown, remember Cork and Dublin town
In county Tyrone our heroes died as Irish mothers cried
Bobby, Mairead, Danny and Sean taken to the sky
Many more Irish heroes standing with them prepared to die
They took it all on our Irish streets facing bullets and the plastic
They died together, some died alone, some we never knew
We'll meet again with our heroes, with the fourteen and ten
Walking the streets of freedom with our heroes once again
The H Block ten and the fourteen men who died on the streets of Derry
The Loughall eight and an Irish child, his name was Kevin Barry
