Poetic Verses
A Change
As always a very beautiful day will be changed to the night
But what happened later brought on to so many only fright
This sudden change to the outside happened so soon
And it was in a period when the skies should be lit by the moon
There was such darkness and then came that surprise as the skies
As the outside and even those clouds displayed some fiery eyes
And that loud and delayed noise of the thunder made such a sound
‘Those inside could feel their housed shake by the vibration of the ground
How from many building came such shrieks that were of such fear
Some madly running around saying they had not time to prepare
And each flash and sound the intensity seem even magnified more
That there were such shout that it was judgment day for sure
This perhaps to some eyes was pleasing to see many praying on their knees
Falling seemingly helpless on them as though inflicted by a debilitating disease
Some could not hold back they had to bare those things on their conscience
This cause many to their friends and spouses even partners made some confessions
My how the lightning and thunder on that night the combination was so terrifying
Each flash was of such intensity that it left seconds that were blinding
How that thunder made the building vibrate with such a frequency
That a house in the vicinity fell to the ground almost instantly
What a sight this really brought a state of such great panic
As people bolted out onto the streets as they thought an earthquake was in the mix
Now there was such howling in the street as too the animals pounded it with their feet
What a situation lots of confusion a lots of lightning bolts hitting the street
There were still shouting and many of them were visibly crying and others were shaking
Some began to ask why to them such a thing was at this moment happening
Then the noise was diminishing and the flashing seemed to have abated
They filed silently home and in the morning a different mindset was projected
