A time to pause this day today
A wish for rain to wash away
All that hurts that fails to leave
A soul in need to just believe
If heartache is the circumstance
Or loss of hope and too the chance
That nothing good became of you
Just breathe once more and hold unto
He who woke you once again
This day sister, brother and friend
Know that such is circumstance
A queue to lift your arms and dance
Dance around this troubled day
Rejoice and let it have its way
For in due time the rain will come
To wash what ails daughters and sons
Hard the road ahead does seem
As nightmares seem endless bad dreams
But in the midst just past storm clouds
Is GOD mans need that knows well how
How to fix the broken you
With loves intent to make you new
Look and search again and see
The Great I AM in you believes
Sometimes attention spans for far too long
Outside the realm where you belong
But hold to Him who holds to you
And draw now breath, this gift, His too
Bring the rain Father, my Lord
Pour down mercy and just rewards
For these things are yours to give
All we need do is ask
Bring the Rain
