I believed and therefore I spoke,
Within my dream as I awoke;
Your spirit of faith is the same,
As the one that do I proclaim.
We also believe and we speak,
That is why in the truth we seek;
Since we know that the one who brought,
The same that originally bought.
The same that brought Jesus to earth,
As human had been given Him birth;
And bought our sins with His life,
Enduring all toils and strife.
The Father had brought back the Son,
Knowing when that the job was done;
Restored Him amongst the living,
To whom He is now forgiving.
He forgives us for our past,
The dark shadows that overcast;
We are brought back to life through Christ,
Just as Jesus was sacrificed.
So we will not be discouraged,
But persistently encouraged;
Outwardly we are wearing out,
But we will never shed a doubt.
So we continue and faint not,
For everything we have sought;
Though our appearance decays,
We continually think always.
Think of our Lord and Savior,
That constitutes my behavior;
For faith is not what we have been,
But what we have seen and unseen.
