Propped up
In a forgotten corner
Sits an old stuffed bear
One that was
once held and loved
Her arms
Now worn and ragged
She can no longer
Reach out
And no one reaches
For her
As she sits
Her weary head
Falls to one side
Her eyes
That were once
So filled with love
Of them
one is now missing
She can no longer
Find her way
And no one
Sees her
So long
Had she sat there
So much now
That time ceased to mean
Anything
Her mind grey and cloudy
Her memories
All but gone now
Fading like her coat
Of worn fur
She no longer
Thinks clearly
And no one
Thinks of her
Do they even know
Remember
She is here
She feels
Long since forgotten
As if for the first time
She is lifted from
Her lonely corner
She needed repair
she needed to be loved
Again
but never
Was there one
More broken
Certainly never one
Less worth fixing
Yet.....
Never one needing it so much
or one that deserved it more
