There was a palace for all to see
amidst the chaos embedded deep,
steeped in wondrous fantasy
earth angel for me to keep!!
All the little heads were spinning
at the happiness around,
in hopes that they'd be winning
at least half of what i found!!
Then the lowly rest of them
bowed their heads and said a prayer,
that they too would discover a gem
and their treasure chest not be bare!!
There was a palace for all to see
music played night and day,
darkness how could it be
since sunshine came to play?!

in shock at the sight,
in hopes that it wasn't dimming
but light of day soon turned dark of night!!
Then the lowly rest of them
bowed their heads and said a prayer,
that i'd have my gem again
beyond the rainbow over there!!
From the palace now so forlorn
only faint reminders of song,
play in the heart can't help but mourn
the rest of my life long!!
Hope was there in the beginning
they all prayed it's there again,
let Mercy be winning
the lonely over no matter where or when!!
Then all in the kingdom
reached out their hands in Love,
let none suffer depression
till they sleep in Peace Above!!!!
