We move ceaselessly among
relics of archaic times barely
regeristing images of memories
of live once lived to the full.
Our thoughts trapped in the now.
We forget that what seemed cheap
to us was a fortune to the faces
locked in photographic timelessness
Our intermitten gaze sweeping and
dismissing all that our ancestors
worked from dawn to dusk to attain.
How mundane our lives have become.
Today we photograph life with a phone.
oft times bestir ourselves to reach out
to a plate laden with food gained easily.
hardship locked away in yesterdays relics.
