A Tree In Winter

snowy tree photo: snowy tree assign01.jpg

A tree in winter, stands lonely and bare,
Until the first snow fall, gives it a blanket to wear,
Snow covers its branches; in freezing, cold
Arms stretched wide open; reaching out so bold.

Snow falls gently to the ground
Silently falling, not a sound
The tree stands erect, frozen, and still;
As it faces winter's harsh chill.

Falling snow, a beautiful landscape
Providing the tree with a cape
The tree in winter, knows it will survive,
Falling snow makes it feel alive.
