The Choice
Some countries seem to think that as part of the program
That now that they are feeling the great fury of the recession
One of the ways to bring some semblance of balance to the economy
Is to embark in a voyage that will include crossing those shores of austerity
In those days of plenty how they went overboard and have that deficit
Now in these tight times they are seem how such can have an effect
So there is that freezing of hiring and that drive to cut and reduce wastage
This will be hard to change a culture that has been entrenched in an age
Then people can say those who are leaders created this type of situation
Because they as the populace fell for the utterances of the politician
As they used those many sugar coated words seasoned with prevarication
Knowing full well that this would in a way fortify their political position
But Alas too, how can so many in country become so gullible
In their minds would know that such will not be possible
Because the only one can be able in any way to achieve or succeed
Some form of personal effort must be ingrained in the life's creed
There were day when a man would be under any weight stride
And take up his responsibility for his family's welfare with pride
Will take it as very demeaning and quite an unforgivable insult
If anyone no matter who came around to offer any form of hand out
Later generations who came from that era have certainly change
Some better educated, better paying jobs and this seem so strange
That in such in a situation they are the ones who will spend time to gripe
Whilst the ones of lesser intelligence are the ones with the courage to fight
But what about the actions of that virtual person called society
How is has now bowed to that pressure imposed on it repeatedly
And instead of correcting there are excuses made in some many directions
That it is quite clear that this in creating all types of confusion
It so amazing that even though there is that struggle by the recession
People are still more entrenched in the minds that the focus in on acquisition
So instead of accession the situation and attend to those pressing matters
