Though it is
painful to say
It is Canada one
and poetry site nothing
As Apples grow on a fruit tree
All it takes is one maggot
to invade and ruin the fruit
You see the maggot grows and spreads
We have a maggot in the poetry contest
The self vanity of poets is well known
All the good apples want to be rated number one
Trying to kill the maggot
The spray also destroys the humming bees
In a way this has destoyed the poetry contest
The maggots spread opening up new sites
All for the goal of voting for themselves
In the end it is not honoring the best poetry
Just a vain attempt at self vanity
To grow a stong healthy tree you must remove the maggots
That cannot be done by light spraying on the surface
Let the apples fall where they may and remove the bad apples
To do that someone has to Judge which apples deserve mention
And only then do we vote for the apples high on the tree
This is why apple trees are pruned of the dead limbs
