Little Bitty Babies in Heaven

Little bitty babies in heaven
Innocence embraced by halos
Droplets of baby powder scent
Graced preciously upon grieved soul
Let go of guilt and grief
Trembling fear you cannot hide
And give to God that which,
You buried deep inside
Comforted by lullabies of love
Are precious little souls to hold
Little bitty fingers held by angels
Sheltered from the wrath of cold
For they are but mere little souls
That God calls upon to his grand home
Where it is said that you can hear
Delightful laughter as they roam

One day you too will smile so bright
For the gift God gave to you
For you will be reunited at last!
To hold your precious bundled blue
God gifts us with his precious love,
Little bitty babies with soft hair
Often left for mere hours or days
Before they’re whisked to heavens care
It is said, heaven knows not time
And hours on earth are seconds there
To us time stretches on when grieved
So we are filled with perfumed air
It is a little token of God’s love
For who you hold dear in your sight
So stand strong now in all he fills
And let him guide you day and night

Dedicated to my baby sister Stefani who has had to bare the loss
of two precious souls here on earth.
May God cradle her soul and lift her when she’s at her lowest.
I pray she will find solace and comfort in her darkest hours
through God’s Grace and Love.
