Patricia Receives a Dozen Roses

Today is the 24th of August, 2013.
To Patricia it is another day without anything special.
However, there is a florist who has had an order for a dozen roses.
Carefully looking through the maze of orders, he finds the one for Patricia.
Immediately the florist raps the roses in the green crate paper placing them in a box.
Driving to her house, he ponders the expression she will have on her face.
Time isn't standing still but is flying.
Soon the florist is there at her home.
Knocking on the door, Patricia answers the door bell.
Seeing the expression on her face with the box, in his hand, she smiles.
There is  a look of bewilderment but also elation.
And handing the box to Patricia, the florist receives the signature and leaves.
With careful attention to the contents, Patricia gasps in looking at the roses.
Tears begin to fall from her eyes onto her ebony and beautiful face.
There is a note which reads:  Thank you for blessing my life may these bring you joy. Signed, the poet
Without hesitation, Patricia looks at the card again and sees the handwriting.
Patricia knows the handwriting and immediately calls me.
A big smile crosses my face for I know she has received the roses.
Though I am able to give her roses I do give this poem and the figurative roses enclosed.
Bless you, Patricia always and forever, cubby \
