Remembering A Man By the Name of Robert

Little did I know last Christmas would be the last time I would ever see him.
Being an affectionate type man I had to have a hug from him which he did.
This is the last time, of course, for him to give me a hug.
I am lugubriously sad over this loss for it is hard to do without him.
There wasn't anything he wouldn't have done for me.
He stood by me when I was feeling depressed and alone.
He was there when I needed him.
Remembering a man named Robert is a cherished memory.
For when he was alive he took care of me and never left me to myself.
I didn't have to wonder if he felt anything for me for he told me repeatedly he loved me.
This is the kind of man I have had in my lifetime which has brought me joy.
I will  go on remembering him for the great man he was and remains to be in my heart.
For he will always have a place there that only he can fill.
Bless you, Robert, for the man you are and were.
