Poetic-Verses

'' We Can Win The Election

Parliament is recalled to vote on a war,
The public are asking what the hell for,
It's not our place to say who's wrong or right,
It would seem our politicians are spoiling for a fight.

Cameron and Hague out to save the world,
Get the flags of victory unfurled,
Let's invade Syria both of them say,
Blair shouts out there's no better way.

Assad must go he's a murdering swine,
With chemical weapons he's crossed that line,
Up and over and in we go,
On this regime our might we'll bestow.

But Cameron is feeling a little bereft,
He has sold our defences we've nothing left,
For armed conflict we are unprepared,
If truth be told we are running scared.

Let's ask Barack he whispers to Hague,
His reply as usual is more than vague,
To armed conflict he refuses to commit,
He leaves Cameron feeling a bit of a tit.

You go in first and we'll test the water,
Cameron agrees like a lamb to the slaughter,
If at any point you are facing defeat,
Give me a call and we'll arrange to meet.

Hague screams yippee they are on our side,
Our armed forces will be filled with pride.
What armed forces Cameron asks,
We've got nobody to carry out military tasks.

Gideon Osborne from the back then shouts,
I know the answer we can send in the scouts,
As for more numbers we have it made,
We'll send in the boys and girls brigade.

Cameron harbours feelings of total despair.
But for the consequences he just doesn't care,
In a previous conflict he has one recollection,
If we start a war,
