 The Mistress of Word Play

Vengeance

angel of vengence photo angelvengence.jpg

She stood upon the mountain side
and stared across the great divide.
All the colors melted and began to run
as she stepped into the rising sun.

Her cries echoed across each hill
as she rejected, denounced free will.
Her eyes brilliant filled with desire
as silver wings carried her higher.

Hair glistened the color of gold
in her hand His sword she did hold.
She knew her task and knew it well.
She journeyed now where man did dwell.

No mercy left, the wicked were slain
hacked down like fresh harvested grain.
Vengeance was written upon her sword
and she worked the will of her Lord.

Twilight coming soon bodies on the ground.
She listens as loud trumpets do sound.
Now all is silent upon the new Earth
waiting and watching for freedom's birth.

She stood upon the mountain side
and stared across the great divide.
All the colors could no longer run
as she stepped into the setting sun.

There will come a day when Jesus will return. He will send his angels to extract judgment on the world. I pray those who are not ready they will prepare themselves. No man knows the hour that I will come again.
