It seems we cannot ever be
At peace for long or even least
To take a breath, to rest awhile
Conquer death on life defiled
Our world becomes now battle ground
Again our ties become our bounds
To trek again on foreign land
To fly and save what others damn
A Heroes call becomes our cause
To lead the charge if nothing more
Ending reign of nothing good
Bringing change to what withstood
And in the end when fires rage
Our leaving peace is one more page
Enfolding life we helped sustain
For a short time till comes again

Pray for peace as we draw nearer to war
