 ~REFLECTING MOMENTS~

The little things

There is always tongue biting
then we beg to disagree
aloud

Remember those little things
we dare to speak of
intimately

A subtle movement of a wrist
my frozen hand of yesterday breaks
free

The silent sound of a bubble
my fingers stand at attention
dancing

I write of such obsessions
red velvet and death
shimmering

The day of elastic skin
the eyesore of fatality
magnified

To lunge toward the cliff
and I fall only to survive
dangling

Potentially I am dangerous
when those cellophane wings
fade

Somewhere in this odd place
I surrender within
stable

The reach is just and sudden
as my trembling arms stretch
trusted

For that potential carriage
wanting and I weep
disengaged

Leaning slightly forward
I fall upon an organic memory
life
