Then of you, then of me By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
It's been awhile yet still you are
Upon my mind and in your car
Shades of Blonde blown by the wind
A moment mine of you within
I miss your smile that lit my nights
I miss the loss of hugs real tight
Yet then of you becomes my now
Wished time was kind and had allowed
More of you and ice cream melts
Dominos and how I felt
Yet still you are though not with me
These moments sweet, remind, believed
I could not help and laugh again
As time was mine and yours to lend
A cowgirl hat upon your head
This tipsy man who shared your bed
Held are you closer this day
As wishful thoughts wished we had stayed
The course that led my heart to you
Instead the road that parted two
Sincere write, no more, no less
Today my heart wrote and confessed
Vote for this poem
Then of you, then of me
