Flower in my soul

Gentle storm and melody
The flower in my soul
 Peaks and lows follow her
As each season unfolds
Pain is often evident
In her soulful eyes
She’s the roots binding
Precious family ties
She stands tall, she stands strong
With Jesus close at hand
It’s faith that always carries her
Through each hardship that lands
Her spirit is like a flower
A sweet and precious bloom
Her eyes a softness casting light
On days of sullen gloom
It is then she holds my heart
Like when I was a child
It is then I love her so
For making my heart smile
She’s cotton candy to a child
Sunshine on rainy days
A precious soul to grow old with
Throughout life's come what mays
She’s the flower in my soul
My best friend through the years
She’s my mother through and through
My cherished sweet sincere

*I love you
Momma*
