How can it be my brother
That all these years have passed
Seventy!goodness gracious me
Those years have gone so fast.
I remember back in time
When you were still a lad
Chatting all the lassies up
Just like oor old Dad.
Then you met your sweetheart
While you were still a teen
You`ve been married all these years
What life you both have seen.
Children came,two boys a lass
Then grandchildren too
You have had your troubles
Survived them, like you do.
Sorry that I missed our chat
Seems not meant to be
But I will Skype you brother
My promise wait and see.
Fate stepped in and took my phone
Workmen cut the wire
Believe me they were told of hard
Their punishment was dire
I hope you get this verse in time
To wish you all that's good
On this your very special day
The way that we all should
I love you bros and always will
And hope your dreams come true
I wish for you the very best
Of life, in all you do.
Seventy`s really fifty
According to the polls
So have a happy middle age
Enjoy the growing old
I never forget the past bros
When all of us were wee
My big brother Jimmy
Who made me make the tea
Who sang Bony Malonie
With so much grace and charm
Rocking to the music
His baby on his arm
Have a magic year oor Jim
Live life to the limit
Take of it all that you can
Yes every thing that`s in it.
And now and then remember
Back home we love you too
Happy happy birthday Jim
