Near the day of His return
The Son of Man who also yearns
To take His bride back when He leaves
Returning home though some perceive
A crutch, feel good to calm mans fears
A fable told throughout the years
Made up by those whose courage failed
Of sacrifice, some man impaled
The blind that see have no remorse
For by their hands they have set course
Destruction theirs, dam nations road
Is their reward as they so chose
Yet still time, time but His
He who chose to wait and give
A chance to all, to know The Way
Maybe their last, maybe today
Giving thought you may just be
Reading this nearing believe
A change of heart that lived deceived
Know this dear child who wandered off
Too far from home near death and lost
There is but one who gave himself
Charged as accused, in you saw wealth
Worthy more to just let go
Heart broken for you He chose
Become as He conceived in thoughts
Before your birth, your heart He sought
Yes He you've heard someone speak of
He quite real and much in love
With you who moves to the next write
That lives without His plan for flight
Choice is yours to live or die
To know forever, no more goodbyes
To wear a crown not made of thorns
As he wore that for those reborn
