 Mistaken Identity
I don't know who you are or where you came from,
I have a feeling I know you but everything is so numb.
I can't seem to put my finger on it,
Oh I just had it maybe….
Uummmm I'm about to throw a fit!
You reach out to touch me,
I hesitate and pull back,
This is your Oscar performance because maybe your him but I swear this is all just an act.
I tell myself ” You can't be him but maybe you are.”
You pulled a trick on me and it's not getting you very far.
Convincing and dynamic you seem,
You are doing too much,
Why go to the extreme?
I know you are him just tell me the truth,
The way your acting is very uncouth.
Please reveal what you are,
We can start from there,
When and why did you stop acting like you don't even care?
I don't know you is what you keep repeating,
Be honest with me “Are you cheating?”
You are not the man I thought you were,
The person I am seeing is a nasty blur.
You are right you are not the person I once knew you to be,
You changed on me 180° degrees or is it just me?
I shake my head in disbelief,
All this I can't…sigh…absolutely no relief.
Your a different type of entity from what I know,
I really wish this wasn't true,
My bad, my mistake…I wasn't awake!
I apologize for my error and turned into a little terror.
Mistaken identity is all it was,
I had just probable cause,
And now I will withdraw,
I shocked myself and I am completely in awe.
