Irish Heroes
Irish Heroes September 2, 2013
So proud of my Irish heroes
Killed for the Irish cause
Taken from us again
Irish men and women amen
We miss our heroes in the sky
Why do they have to die?
God given right to live in love with peace
Women and children have left us
To be Irish in Ireland is our human right
Test us again and we'll rise to fight
No more Bloody Sunday, I hope you've get it right
The children of the troubles will show you Irelands fight
The country of birth was the one you love
You died not a good way, without the peaceful dove
I want you here my child so dear
My child of this country of fear
You taught us many things in death
If we could do the same for the cause
Your life was strong with nothing wrong
Your thoughts and memories still prevail
So proud of my Irish heroes
Killed for the Irish cause
