Walkin on Air

Lucky Shoes

Ouch, ouch, OUCH!
Stubbed my toe on the leg of the old couch.
Sigh! Hopeless, spent and nursing the blues
a sudden idea popped into my head:
‘Lemme put on my Lucky Shoes'.
Ha! I walk a mile in my Lucky Shoes
with each stride of pulsating pride:
I march, I loaf, I clog on ahead
in spite of obstacles, barriers and walking dead;
nothing, yes virtually nothing can stop
my Lucky Shoes' forward march:
the wonderful items from the summersale shop
that treats my feet and body, heel and arch.
Ah! Forgotten is my painful, draggy woe,
Lucky Shoes made me forget my stubbed toe!
