Strong waves of doubt and disbelief
Have stormed the minds of men…
Emotionally uncertain hearts
Must learn to trust again.
While shadows hide assurance
Light reveals what God has planned…
Yet confidence can only come
When we refuse to hold doubt’s hand.
If suspicion is replaced with trust
And misgivings with persuasion
Then perhaps the struggling will cease
And we’ll rise to the occasion.
Faith must filter in through trust
And trust through Christ our Savior.
Those immersed in things of God
Should be immune to doubt’s behavior.
It sheds suspicion like a shadow
But mere shadows are not real.
They simply try to block the light
Of things trust can and will reveal.
We should not let shadows sabotage
Our lives in any way.
Any debate with doubt can stop
If we will just trust and obey.

will actually happen; it gives us assurance about
things we cannot see.
