Remember to Put the Bottle Down

For those of us who may be an alcoholic there is a plea from the author who is me.
Remember to put the bottle down and not pick it up again.
For nothing positive can come from the drinking.
I am thankfully am a recovering alcoholic and do thank the Lord for the privilege of being one.
This is my story of how I got started.
Briefly, I was waiting for my first drink and did receive it some years ago.
I never got my fill for I wanted to always drink.
The Lord saved me from this and today I am a new creature.
There is more to the story but you get the point.
I don't do the things I used to do.
Jesus is a wonderful Savior and my best Friend.
Mom remains to be my best human friend though she is now in Heaven.
I am most glad to say I don't drink today and make a conscious choice to refrain from doing it.
