today's letter is~B~©

This man is not all mushy gushy
but he's full of goodness and honesty,
indeed a friend
i have no doubt till the end.
But he's someone to not cross
for it will be your loss,
he appreciates common sense in all people
and not ones that try to control.
To me he's never had a harsh word
and the thought of that hasn't occured,
for i don't come off all righteous
and he in return responds in kindness.
I call him sir bernie now and then
cause to me he's been a gentleman,
don't expect him to be sappy&fall all over you
cause that's not likely what he'll do.
That's what makes him unique in his way
and someone i'll defend to this day,
he's been there for me a real trooper
so knowing him has been super.
Most of my poems to him are silly i admit
but doing a serious one doesn't hurt a bit,
i just hope i don't put him in shock
simply wanting my friendship to talk the talk!

A new craze is sweepin the nation
to not be a part of would be a sin,
every walk of life comes to party
it's hip to have fun in poetry.
Put on your crazy boots and hat
we sure like it like that,
don't be afraid to get down
we promise you won't frown.
Sing along and get silly
just go all willy nilly,
if you don't somebody else will
we promise you'll get a thrill.
This is just a publicity photo
hear him sing in the background listen to him go,
he's no Harry Belafonte
but he still sings the day-o away.

Well shiver me timbers,
it's Long John Slivers.
AKA bernie not pirate sounding at all,
but many a matey knows LJS means a brawl.
Put down the fish he says with a scowl,
swab them decks for they smell fowl.
And fetch me a parrot or ye dies,
i've crushed 17 men's skulls with me thighs.
Aye and some grog to wet me whistle,
to wash down what crawls out of the bung hole.
Alas me gold i've found yonder,
arrr below deck bilge rats ain't sharin me treasure.
Avast me hearties............
this was just a dream of silly sally's.
For in real life bernie's a teddy bear,
and to paint him mean i wouldn't dare.
But after reading his fishy western movie,
i dozed off and was out to sea.

This man is quick with the wit and all he's penned,
if you're lucky he'll be your friend.
He hasn't a harsh word no way,
unless you have no common sense things to say.
And he's here in all his glory to sing his song,
about how he wishes we could all get along.
To have special people in our life and not have to lurk about,
behind blindfolds so nobody sees what's inside and out.
The shades he wears are only because he's cool,
for his writing shows he's nobody's fool.
