They reached and touched near Heavens sky
Towers of strength and sad goodbyes
Left are now but memories
Upon hearts loss would conceive
Though years have passed they still remain
Inside of us where death left pain
A place inside where souls all wear
A shroud of grief, lifeless but bared
Thoughtless carnage was struck and claimed
The lives of those in life sustained
A piece of them holds true this day
Inside someone strength drew today
Relatives of varied race
Breathed their last and here are traced
To where they stood where Towers stood
Falling to rise not understood
Yet in their loss and on that day
On field, Three states, courage would play
Heroism, where life was laid
To rest, to be, to heal and pray
Our dark world they left behind
A peace now found inside them binds
The fallen as now new began
A new beginning where mankind bands
They fell and rose as Towers now
Begin their climb as hurt allows
A spirit born, thought lost that day
No dear friends, much paved the way
Breathe America, for they breathe
For here they fell, as Towers rise
