WINE AND GATES

Prayers In The Yell Of Laundry Did Eat Rats...

in circles
as wind grooms a tea
well to heed, the fires of early
ways to seek glee

glue in an eye
the salt it took to remove
will you have semblances of pie
for nicks and slicks of good...

tradition of sanity
the figure of a fight, in the mirror
the torch of vanity
the silly notion of a nation to better...

a bird at all costs
the sink of emotion into the morass of mean
is a host of nurtured fangs to keep loss
this history is a space cleaned

where has the bitter hours of destiny gone?
right in an ear, according to some
but does a lip have the sense to spend a coin for won?
left in an ear, according to dumb

the panic of a sodden face
my sweeter bid for breath, has you come of age
like a personal savior, the try of since the case
is a lurking mind to fell reasons, a cheese to crave

sound like what?
smell like a burnt toast, if you smile?
taste like a chicken crossing the road, to assure the nature of a nut?
see the little bloody eye have one all the while?

this finger is made from steel
this flower is your make of copper for the night
this juice is a happy face with no mind, the chrome to heel
this judas is alive in the salt it took to know a fight

tin, again
the waters of a morose spate whiskey on his breath
the fish of fruit in the back pocket of same to shame, the skin
of dire times to limes, the role of youths is among us, like a bath...

would you, ask for a clever lint to bottle with the whiskey?
would you, ask for a mushroom to cap the bottle?
would you, ask for a cheese cloth and vinegar to summate the sister?
would you, ask for a tongue to show a word was made a human rattle?

tough choice and there is only one:
the moon holds two promises to every soul it mete's
the future for a song, if but the lucre of a gum
that has a triangles martyr, and the knock of a door's keep

that's right
you guessed it
we still have no place for a bird in the sly
of hands that made that twit...
