Starry Dreams
I try to count the many stars
that decorate the night.
I even use a telescope
to see them shining bright.
A wish upon a falling star
is a dream come true.
In a vision deep in sleep
I long to be with you.
You are still a stranger
that I see walking alone.
Starry eyes see much more
inner beauty that is known.
I wake up from my dream
and the stars have gone away.
I don't see you anymore
in the reality of the day.
Next time I see that star
shining bright above.
I will keep my sleep sweet
as I dream of my true love.
