My Chantilly, twelve today
Your last year not a teen
Enjoy this year in every way
For soon it will have been
It will float into the past
As gossamer on the breeze
Make each moment last and last
My Chantilly, please.
Do not waste a minute
Fill each full of fun
Gather all that's in it
Live life in the sun
You are full of cuddly sass
And Nan is very proud
For you are such a brave wee lass
I shout these words out loud
So young baby, yet so strong
When pain has come your way
You have faced it all alone
So just be twelve today
Think only of the good things
Laugh and skip and giggle
Think of all that life will bring
And do it with a wiggle
Oh Chantilly lace my dear
Enjoy each lovely hour
In every day of this your year
Let no-one make it sour
Happy birthday little lady
May all your dreams come true
I would not forget you baby
You know that I love you
