I Once Was Blind But Now I See
May the Rain Go Away
When the watery soldiers appear there is a loneliness I sometimes experience.
For there is nothing wonderful outside to hear but the rain.
There are no birds chirping and singing their song.
The wind is hardly moving through the velocity is there.
This is time is a time of reflection and purpose.
May the rain go away and stop its torture of me.
May I feel the bright sunshine on my face as I face the day.
Knowing too the Lord truly has a purpose for the rain but will stop the rain to end my pain.
May the rain go away and delay its action at least for the day.
The nighttime wouldn't be so bad if it were to rain then.
For I wouldn't be expecting to hear the birds singing or the sun to shine upon my face.
This is the desire I have and trust the Lord will allow me to have it.
