 Romantic Notions By Ivy Rose

Wretched bronzed adolescent boy

your fake smile is engraved

on summer diamante days

You are a dismantled catastrophe.

One day the gloss on your tan

will lose all of its intensity

and your euphoric rise to heartthrob

will be one of those memories

that you just might feel ashamed of.
