Waiting on a Dream By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Seems like they will never come
Years have passed and we succumb
To not dream on
To dream of things of once upon
Chased rainbows to only find
No pot of Gold but waste of time
As four leaf clovers elude us
So much for dreams but dream we must
At times the day allows for thought
To close our eyes to find what's sought
As slumber land holds them and keeps
Our dreams now real when fast asleep
We hold to them for a short while
We live them brief on face now smile
Keeps content a famished soul
Fulfilled for now to dream we hold
No more to seek for here we found
Bliss all ours by leaps and bounds
So hold to yours as day gives way
Tonight again where brief we stayed
As wait we do on dreams that spell
Our happiness, our own, pray tell
Waiting on a Dream
