One Of My Favorite Hymns

I remember as a young child,

Hearing my grandmother sing,

"I come to the garden alone,

While the dew is still on the roses,"

And the voice I hear,

falling on my ear,

The son of God discloses.

Refrain:

And he walks with me,

and talks with me,

And he tells me I am His own;

And the joy we share as we tarry there,

None other has ever known.

Then it goes on to other verses-

The lines of that song stuck in my memory.

I did not quite understand who my grandmother was singing about.

My grandmother explained to me that it was Jesus.

She would often hum this beautiful hymn,

as she worked around her house.

My grandmother was full of love.

She knew that Jesus loved her.

In memory of my dear grandmother.

I know Jesus loves me too.
