 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

We should never make any fuss
Since faith has been surrounding us;
Just take a complete look around,
And listen closely for the sound.
In the distance the trumpet blows,
As the heaviness of gist slows;
We must rid of everything,
A sinful distraction may bring.
But we must be running the race,
That lies ahead with His embrace;
And we must not ever give up,
Or taste the poison in the cup.
We must focus on Jesus Christ,
And why He had been sacrificed;
Our faith the source and the goal,
Can control our thoughts within the soul.
He saw the joy ahead of Him,
And never having to feel grim;
So He endured death on the cross,
Suffering seemed like a big loss.
He ignored the disgrace it brought,
For the price that His blood was bought;
Got the highest throne in Heaven,
Next to the Father was given.
Think of Jesus, who had endured,
The temptations that Satan lured;
Never tried drinking from the cup,
Or turning back or giving up.
Pay attention because your sin,
The Lord must then give discipline;
When He corrects do not give up,
Or sip the poison from the cup.
