Holy Moses and what the heck
I've only gone and lost my specs:
Not at the centre where last seen.
Now where else have I been?
Not at the barber's, no not there
They've checked the room and the chair.
Did I leave them on a bus seat?
No they say, so I'm blooming beat.
I've checked the house, no not here
This is the second set lost this year.
I just can't see them anywhere
But at least I still have one spare pair
I've offered a reward, a finders fee
To he who returns them safe to me.
I'll sit and wait and maybe one day
I'll recall I'd gone and put them away.
I had four pairs, now I have two
With memory dodgy what can I do.
I can remember things from the distant past
But recent actions just doesn't last.
