Alone became of Him By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
There was a point when thoughts were clear
A better time when eyes and ears
Caught the moment as occurred
Today not so he would concur
Innocence, first love and flight
Days now gone that took good night
Meaning goodbye to leave alone
A fragile soul in lifeless home
She was what kept a drive to be
Alive and well but took her leave
Too soon he'd say, sighs without him
Time stole her too whisked by its wind
These winds of change that blow today
Taking what's left of him who stayed
Too long alone to be alive
Too much became to just survive
