(John 3: 19, 20)

Clouds & Shadows Rose & Race To Darken All The Skies
Covering The World Under The Blackest of Tent Spires
Starlights & The Pearl-Moon Wanes & Fades & Expires
As Cold Winds Blows Out The Last Flames of Fires ...

As No Candle Stays Lit - Something Smothers The Wick
No Lantern Can Glow - No Light Switch Goes Click
No Lamp, Torch, Matchstick ... Can Flutter & Flick
& No Generator or Battery - That Doesn't Die-Quick
... This Is A Total Blackout of Power & No EMP Trick

As Wild Wolves Gather Around - Howling At Something
Humans Huddle Together & Reaching -Touching Nothing
As Pandemonium & Fright & Confusion Keeps Running
As All Energy & Electricity Stops After That One Thing
And One Thing We Know ... Something Is Coming ...

A Crow Starts To Caw - But None Can See Its Sharp Beak
It Contiues Thru Far Screams - As Tho' A Warning It Speaks
People Open Eyes Wide - While Others Fear To Peek
Yet, Thru The Darkness, There Are Men Brave Enough To Seek

Outside In Rancid Woods - Thick With Knarled Trees
Looped & Hanging Near - Like Nooses With Leaves
As Winds, Chills & Whistles Curses Like Foul Breath Released
But Now Adjusted To Darkness - Men Are Able To Dimly See
There Stands A Hooded Figure - Half Man-Shape / Half Beast
So Fearsome In Appearance - Footsteps & Heartbeats Freeze

As This Thing Opens Its Cloak & Holds Out Its Hand
... A Mishapen Claw Formed - of A Half Monster, Half Man
But In Its Palm Is Fused, A Neon-Plasma-Can
That Is Pumped & Lit By A Human-Heart In A Pan

Its Red/Blacklight Faintly Shows A Mouth of Sharp Teeth Span
Grinning Fiendishly At Them, As It Offers The Artificial Neon-Can
"Here Take This !" It Said ... In A Half Laugh & Half Demand
"... and You Will Learn To Love The Darkness of The Land!"

and It Held Out Its Hand and Offered It Again
and Some Men Accepted It - While Others Refused & Ran!
& Those Who Chose That Horror Sight Gave Their Hearts To Brand
But They Made It Back Thru Crocodiles & Quicksand
& That Was What The Hooded Figure All Along Had Planned
For Those Who Made It Back Were Now Half Beast - Half Man

Clouds & Shadows Rise & Race To Darken All The Skies
Covering The World Under The Blackest of Tent Spires
Starlights & The Pearl-Moon Wanes & Fades & Expires
As Cold Winds Blows Out -  The Last Flames of Men's Fires

As No Candle Stays Lit - Something Smothers The Wick
No Lantern Can Glow - No Light Switch Goes Click
No Lamp, Torch, Nor Match Can Flutter & Flick
& No Generator or Battery - That Doesn't Die-Quick
... This Is A Total Blackout of Power & No EMP Trick

(& When It Happens, You'd Better Know Which Peer To Pick)
